Suntaq announces the launch of Mannanase ATS, a new version of beta mannanase enzyme that can better optimize the nutritional value of ß-mannan containing diets
Soybean meal remains an industry standard for supplying protein and energy to poultry. But soybean meal contains a “problem component”: Beta-mannans (ß-galactomannans), which are non-starch polysaccharide (NSP) fibers found in leguminous feed ingredients. The presence of the ß-mannan fibers can have the effect of reducing glucose absorption, insulin secretion and increasing viscosity. ß-Mannanase supplementation to the feed is one of the strategies for optimization of nutritional value of ß-mannan containing diets.
Mannanase ATS can break down ß-mannans in soybean meal, therefore the animal has more energy available for growth and performance. Mannanase ATS works at lower pH and higher temperature than other products and is therefore more suitable for the animal production.
With Mannanase ATS, the following commercial benefits can be achieved:
• Improve animal’s immune system and reduce mortality
• Reduce the feed cost and improve feed utilization
• Improve body weight gain and energy utilization
